Our country faces enormous challenges in 2012 and beyond. Healthcare is in crisis: it is unsustainable in its present form. When written in Chinese, the word crisis is composed of two characters. One represents danger, and the other represents opportunity. WE THE PEOPLE need to overcome our fears, rise up out of our comfort zones, and begin to trust and work with one another–and seize the opportunity to resolve healthcare reforms by coming together in a massive people’s movement that will result in universal healthcare, possibly thru HR 676 or single-payer hybrid systems.
Healthcare Reforms thru the Affordable Care Act
The Affordable Care Act is our current healthcare reform. We aim to keep you up-to-date with the features of this landmark act which was 100 years in the making! While not perfect, it is giving many Americans care they used to only dream of. Some people will begin to get services in 2014 thru this act, if the Supreme Court and Congress continue to uphold the Affordable Care Act and its many parts. Americans for Healthcare, Too gives you the most up-to-date information we can find on other healthcare reform efforts in the United States.
We are interested in efforts for healthcare reform through Congressional Actions such as HR 676, through efforts of entities such as the Coffee Party, and through the efforts of the Occupy Movements. Healthcare Reforms thru HR 676 the Expanded and Improved Single-Payer Bill. We are currently supporting HR 676 as an important healthcare reform that has the capability of providing truly Universal Healthcare.
